Tonite we went to see “Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire Assistant“… so to make it a theme-night, we went to the freakiest place we know of… Microcenter, and it didn’t disappoint. First, a bag of blood… no, it’s not candy… it’s actually similar to blood in consistency, color and nutrients… creepy, I know… but for that price, who can resist?!!! lol Then a nice bundle of software, labeled, “Budget CDs $2.99” where you could find outdated versions of Firefox, VLC, ICQ and many, many more… the one that bugged me the most was the Firefox 3 cd… ‘cause I’ve seen the original (they stopped making cds after that release) and it looks nothing like it… mmm odd. lol But nowhere in their page does it say you can’t sell copies of it, so FUCK IT. lol Freaks, all a bunch of freaks. lol

I remember that day. I was around thirteen years old, and we were heading to my uncle’s farm. It was a good 2 hour ride, and once we got to the part where there was nothing but cows, my brother pulled over and asked me if I wanted to drive. I immediately said YES! I drove for about 45 minutes and when we got to a dirt-road, my brother told me he’d take it from there. I’d been paying attention to every sign; I enjoyed every minute of it, and I was so proud of being able to drive for the first time. My mom told my brother never to let me drive his car again ‘cause I didn’t know how, and since my dad had died in a car accident 4 years before, she was shaking thru the whole thing. I didn’t feel so proud anymore.

Hace unos cuantos años, cometí un pequeño error, que me hizo buscar el diccionário y me comprobó aún mas erroneo de lo previsto. Estoy hablando del incidente “Automata y Autodidacta”. Confundí ambos terminos, lo cual me hizo ver como un pendejéte grosero, pues uno significa zombi y el otro ‘alguien que se enseña a si mismo’. lol No puedo creer que insulté al familiar de alguien que me habia invitado a merendar, y peór aún, frente a toda su familia. Esa tarde, terminamos el té que habían servido, y no fuí invitado mas a su casa desde esa vez. LA VERGÜENZA!

A few days ago I committed a small snafu, which made me go to Wikipedia and prove myself even more wrong. I’m talking about “The Grated Situation”. I confused the terms grated and gratin… which made me look totally silly, for one means shredded and the other means toast-melted. lol I can’t believe I was so wrong. SO VERY, VERY WRONG! The Twelve Days of My Mom-Memories.

I remember that day. I was around five years old, and after Bible study, we were walking home. It was a couple of blocks and a small highway away. There wasn’t a stop-light, but there also wasn’t that much traffic, it was too late for rush hour. I had decided that’d be the first day I’d cross the street by myself, but I didn’t tell my mom. She always took her time, specially this time, talking to my aunt and walking slowly in the summer sun… I thought they were going too slow, so I just ran home, which again, was only a couple of blocks away. I got home about half an hour before my mom did, and I was so proud of being able to walk back home all by myself. She had me wait ‘till my dad got home and I got beat. I didn’t feel so proud anymore.

Describing Gone With The Wind, a four hour movie into a few sentences is easy. Fist half speaks of the wonderful and lavish world of Southern plantation life and the pride, injustice and caprice that enveloped it; all which of which is gone with the wind after the civil war. Scarlett gives and takes. She’s born into privilege, but ends up poor, gets rich again, has a child, looses it, falls in real love, and ends up loosing it… get it? Gone with the wind?… Ooooo. There are great period examples of everything, from the sociological to financial and the political, and several timeless anecdotes of LURV. The beginning seems delightful, perfectly paced and edited, the middle seems engaging and very well adapted, seamless and capturing. The ending seems rushed and sloppy, like a kiss from a prostitute that spent way too much time turning you on and too little opening her legs. I’d just call it… “Why the Fuck Does She Wanna Hook Up Wif Him?”

lol Updating one’s relationship status on facebook… maybe a liiiitle too instantaneous… but hey… more power to’em. I love it! Been watching Gone with the Wind for a couple of hours, but I’m taking breaks… I was told it was a good one… Oh yeah, and I saw this for Hector… but I don’t think he needs it. So if I make it thru it I’ll definitely review it. So far I’m liking it, but I know some people might find it boring or at least blah… Biodiversity, I guess. Ok, back to the movie.
